Home“The mind is everything. What you think, you become” I am a member of the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and am a member of the NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners. Before qualifying, I had to go through my own therapy, so that I could appreciate how it felt to go through it. It allowed me to deal with alot of issues I had buried and made me much more positive about my life. I therefore have personal experience it DOES work very effectively. I run my practice from a consulting room at 87 London Road, Cowplain, Waterlooville, Hampshire - only a short drive away from Portsmouth, Cosham, Horndean, Waterlooville, Havant, and Petersfield. Have a look at my contact page for the location on Google maps. There is free parking in the area, and I can also be there after normal working hours if that is required. Before training as a Hypnotherapist, I spent most of my working life within a legal office, and the last 15 years as a property lawyer. I had some health problems in the past, which made me re-evaluate my life. I had studied psychology and counselling in my twenties, and still had an interest in that subject. I had hypnotherapy myself 10 years ago to stop smoking, which worked, and made my interest in this kind of therapy even stronger. I therefore undertook further study but chose the IAPH because, having researched the different types of therapy that can be given, it offered the best training and a more involved type of therapy (analytical therapy) which I had not seen before. The use of hypnosis for therapeutic purposes is not regulated at this time, and therefore clients should be assured that they are being treated by someone who is fully qualified. Please have a look at the list on the left hand side of the page, which gives an indication of what can be helped with hypnosis. As the quote says above "the mind is everything - what you think, you become" As I delve further into this therapy, I see how enlightening that statement is. I am sure you have been through stages in your life where you have reached a decision mentally about something, and found that other things then follow on from there. The use of hypnosis has been around for centuries, as a way to help you to resolve issues that hold you back from what you want to do, or how you want to be. Hypnosis is not a magical mystery. It is just a state of relaxation, to enable your conscious mind to step aside for a short while so that your subconscious can be helped with any symptoms affecting you and the way you want to live your life. We all enter this state of relaxation at least once a day whilst we are drifting off to sleep! Have a look at the FAQ page which hopefully answers the most obvious questions and also you will see some comments from people that have already had therapy from me. All of my work with you is totally private and confidential. As I am dealing with your mind, I can give no guarantees, but I WILL guarantee that I will do my very very best for you. Please telephone me or use the form on the contact page to arrange for an appointment. I am happy to discuss any queries you may have on the telephone before your visit.
